Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our modern private dental practice in the heart of Norwich. This is an opportunity to join a growing clinic with brand-new facilities, high-end equipment, and a strong focus on patient experience.

The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with proven experience in dental or healthcare management, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence across the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise and support the reception and clinical support teams
  • Ensure smooth, efficient day-to-day running of the practice
  • Maintain exceptional standards of patient care and service delivery
  • Manage financial processes including budgeting, billing, reporting and cost control
  • Oversee administrative systems and introduce improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Handle HR duties including recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews
  • Must immediately register as Registered manager for CQC
  • Ensure compliance with CQC, health & safety and all regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with clinicians to optimise appointment scheduling and patient flow
  • Manage stock control, equipment maintenance and supplier relationships
  • Support the development of business growth strategies, patient retention and community engagement initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within dental or healthcare
  • Strong leadership ability with a motivating and supportive management style
  • Confident with financial oversight, budgeting and KPI monitoring
  • Solid understanding of HR processes and team development
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm, solution-focused and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for delivering high-quality patient experiences in a premium clinical setting
