Dental Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and confident Dental Therapist to join our private dental practice on The successful candidate will work within their full scope of practice, providing high-quality preventive, restorativel care to our valued patients. Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:

  • Provide preventive care, including oral health education, fluoride applications, and fissure sealants.
  • Perform restorative treatments, including fillings on both adults and children.
  • Take and interpret radiographs as per GDC scope of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with dentists, hygienists, and dental nurses to ensure a seamless patient journey.

Patient Care & Communication:

  • Provide a caring and reassuring experience for patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and disease prevention.
  • Manage patient expectations and discuss treatment options effectively.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential patient records.

Compliance & Practice Support:

  • Adhere to GDC and HTM 01-05 regulations.
  • Ensure all cross-infection control and decontamination procedures are followed.
  • Stay up to date with CPD requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • GDC-registered Dental Therapist with full scope of practice.
  • Experience working in a private practice setting
  • Excellent clinical skills with a patient-centred approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
