Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials before appointments
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, ensuring they understand their care plans
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and managing infection control protocols
- Support with administrative tasks such as updating patient records using IT systems
- Ensure the clinic environment remains organised, clean, and welcoming for all patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance throughout treatment
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential;
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment scheduling
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and patients
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
