Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and organised Dental Practice Manager with reception and nursing skills to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent patient care, and maintaining efficient practice workflows. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a professional environment. We are family run and community based practice, based in North /East London. Offer both routine and specialist NHS and private dental care. We pride ourselves in serving a multicultural and diverse community for over 40 years.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support dental practice staff, including receptionists, dental nurses, hygienist / therapist, and dentist.
  • Ensure the practices' over all visions and goals are adhered to.
  • Ensure the patients are receiving tailored and customer based care by taking regular surveys and feedback and arranging community group meetings
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of patient care
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient records, and billing processes
  • Implement and monitor financial management procedures, including budgeting and expense control
  • Handle human resources tasks such as recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and staff development
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and practice policies
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations; CQC registered managers is preferred but non essential
  • Maintain effective communication between team members and external stakeholders
  • Assist with marketing initiatives to promote the practice’s services
  • Support clinical staff in administrative duties as needed
  • Prepare and organise quarterly practice meetings
  • Manage and organise the practice calendar
  • Oversee and manage all the dental or IT equipment, that they are in working order, by arranging regular service and repairs and where required, to arrange urgent repairs.
  • Arrange annual staff training events and gatherings.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience within a healthcare setting is highly desirable
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
  • Knowledge of financial management principles relevant to healthcare practices
  • Highly proficient in all dental care related services
  • Experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, training, and staff development
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Previous dental nursing and / or reception experience is highly advantageous but not essential; a background in healthcare management is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with a professional approach to patient care and team collaboration
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £26,374.49-£44,984.72 per year
