We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice for working Evenings & Weekends. Our Practice is Open 7 Days a Week & 365 Days for Year for Emergency and General Dental Care.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists and ensure patients receive high-quality care in a comfortable environment. The Dental Nurse will be responsible for assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily practice activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Provide patient care before, during, and after treatments, ensuring patient comfort and reassurance
  • Take and develop dental radiographs as required
  • Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
  • Manage appointment scheduling and organise patient files efficiently
  • Provide oral health advice and post-treatment instructions to patients
  • Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
  • Support administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of IT systems relevant to dental practice management
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • recognised qualification in nursing or dental assisting is preferred but not essential for internship positions
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
