Dental Receptionist

Wesley Dental Care is a well-established independent dental practice located in Ossett, West Yorkshire. We are a mixed NHS and private practice carrying out a varied mix of treatments, focused on both prevention and restoration, including private cosmetic procedures, orthodontic Invisalign treatment and oral surgery including implants. We are looking for an experienced receptionist who is enthusiastic, trustworthy, and dedicated to patient care to join our team.

We use Software of Excellence Exact Software to maintain computerised records, including a digital x-ray system. The applicant should be familiar with digital dental software’s and would be desirable to be familiar and competent with SOE Exact.

This position would be ideal for a qualified dental nurse, or someone who has previously been qualified or experienced in Dental Nursing. Ability to work in surgery as a dental nurse if needed would be preferred, but not essential.

Duties include:

• Greeting patients and providing a warm and friendly first impression
• Booking and amending appointments, answering the phone, and updating patient records
• Utilising the Exact systems to maintain an optimum appointment usage
• Handling payments, cash handling and related opening and closing procedures
• Accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality and care
• Working within a friendly team whilst organising and recording staff rotas
• Ordering of materials and liaison with suppliers and laboratories
• Ability to handle and diffuse difficult situations, primary contact for complaints resolution.

This is a full-time position, although we would consider applicants who are looking for a part-time role.

Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience.

Successful candidate will be required to provide 2 references prior to appointment.
